Foreign Objects

A foreign object is a catch-all object type for the many different types of resources that you can add to a page. While many foreign objects are often multimedia resources, such as movie, music, or Macromedia Flash™ files, Java applets, plug-ins, and HTML IFrames are also foreign objects that can be added to your page. You (and your web page viewers) will appreciate the extended functionality and interactivity that foreign objects can bring to your web project.

Specify a type of foreign object and any additional parameters using the Foreign Object/Media dialog box. Simply find the file on your system and SiteSpinner® Pro will take care of the rest. Then, if you have added a visible object, you can then move and resize the viewing frame the same as you would any other object.

With the exception of the Publish File option, foreign objects will not be used in pages with an SVG output format.
