Lock/Unlock Object

Once an object is positioned and transformed the way you want it, you can prevent it from being accidentally moved, scaled, skewed, or rotated by using the lock option. When an object is locked, transformation operations cannot be performed on it. You may still edit other properties, however, such as adding a hyperlink or a shading component.

When selected in the Work Window, locked objects appear with a lock icon.

You can lock individual objects or, more usefully, you can lock down an entire page by selecting Edit>Lock All or by pressing the ALT+L keyboard shortcut.

Individually locked objects on a page cannot be selected as part of a temporary group. For more information, see Temporary Groups (“Selections”).

Tools for locking objects are available throughout SiteSpinner® Pro but most prominently as a button: on the Components Bar.

Of course, you may unlock a locked object at any time. If an object refuses to move, accept transformation edits, or be added to a group, check to see if it is locked, and then unlock it.
